Nation's Cup: Eagles Arrive Rustenburg For Tuesday Clash With Stallions; Grisha Dismissed
I'm not sure about the whining and complaints by Nigeria on officiating in their encounter with the goalkkeeper Kennedy Mweene-led Chipolopolo. What's up with that? However, Egyptian referee Ghead Grisha who officiated the Eagles-Chipolopolo match at the Mbombela Sports Stadium Friday, January 25, has been sent home and would no longer officiate in the rest of the tournament. Grisha was sent packing on bad judgement on a penalty call in favor of the Chipolopolos.
Meanwhile, the Eagles who just arrived Rustenburg, South Africa few hours ago, venue of their encounter with the Harambee Stars who have nothing to lose, Tuesday, January 29, 2013, have shut the gates on visitors upon arrival. Only Austin "Jay Jay" Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu were admitted for the teams training in preparation for Group C encounter with the Ethiopian Harambee Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace, Rustenburg, South Africa, Tuesday evening. Chipolopolo plays Alain Traore and his boys at Mbombela Sports Stadium, Nelspruit, at same time the Eagles squares off with the Stallions at the Palace. Eagles must win with multiple goals to conveniently clear the hurdle.
