"I used to think that pageants were all about beauty. But then I competed in one in Poland and it totally opened my eyes.
These were girls with master's degrees who had achieved so much. It's
not only about how you look, but how you present yourself. I felt
inadequate at first, but competing boosted my confidence, and when a
friend's mother told me about Miss Africa Ireland, I leapt at the
chance."
