In the Federal Executive Council meeting held Wednesday, January 9, 2013, and presided by President Goodluck Jonathan, three more Federal Government Universities were approved to be located in the northern states of Zamfara, Kebbi and Yobe states, bringing the number of federal owned colleges to 40.
